I have an aversion to the company of people who need/want to be identified as spiritual leaders, since most of them are fuelled by ego more than spirituality. As with any position, whether doctor, lawyer, or minister/priest/your preferred religious leader here, anyone who allows themselves to be set-above others runs the risk of losing their humanity. I go to a Unitarian Universalist church (it’s a great community & I’ve been there for nearly 30 years) but my spirituality has never been confined to church. I have been through a series of religious/spiritual identifications- wicca, pagan, & now Jedi- but these still only guide my spiritual practise, rather than define it. I find most of spiritual experiences come from interactions with with world- people, nature- & are often random & unexpected. I appreciated hearing about Quaker meeting, something I’ve never experienced, & about your personal spirituality.

“15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Colossians 3:15-17 (New King James Version)
